CELTIC boss Neil Lennon has likened star midfielder Ryan Christie to Manchester City sensation Kevin De Bruyne.
The Hoops gaffer was full of praise for the Scotland ace as he stepped up his return from injury at the weekend against Hamilton.
The playmaker came off the bench for Lenny’s side to set up what proved to be a pivotal second goal in the 4-1 victory in Lanarkshire.
It was a wicked cross from the attacker, who assisted centre half Christopher Jullien to brilliantly finish.
And Speaking to Celtic TV, Lennon compared it to one of the global superstar’s superb passes.
He said: “His energy is fantastic and so is his enthusiasm but more than anything it’s his quality.
“The quality of the ball for the second goal (versus Hamilton) is De Bruyne-esque.
“Having Ryan back after being out for a month is such a bonus for us.
“Tom Rogic came on and did a great job, Johnny Hayes too.
“But Ryan’s had a fantastic season and we’ll see more off him as we go along.”
‘MOVE ON’ Celtic star Griffiths should’ve seen red… but DON’T ban him for stamp, says Hamilton’s Rice
Lennon went on to discuss the Premiership title race with Rangers.
The Parkhead side are currently seven points ahead of their Old Firm rivals, but the Light Blues do have a game in hand.
Lenny added: “We’ll just keep them (the players) bubbling.
“Obviously focus on one game at a time, Motherwell at Fir Park, which is a difficult venue, and they’ve had a great season so that’ll be a great test for us physically and mentally.
