JOHN McGINN has been ranked among Europe’s top 50 international stars, with Ryan Christie the next best Scot.
Former Hibs star McGinn was one of Scotland’s best players throughout the Nations League and Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The Aston Villa midfielder scored twice in the national side’s 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan in the final game of their qualifying group campaign in November.
And it’s that performance that sees him ranked in the top 50 international stars in European competition.
According to the FedEx Performance Zone on Uefa’s website, McGinn currently has 1097 points, putting him in 47th place.
And that ranks him above the likes of France and PSG striker Kylian Mbappe, and Croatia and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric.
Celtic star Christie is the next best Scot in Uefa’s rankings, although he comes in at 208th with 609 points thanks to the four crosses he completed against Kazakhstan.
While Liverpool star and Scotland skipper Andy Robertson comes in at 331st place with 473 points.
Meanwhile, McGinn’s brother – and current Hibs star Paul admitted seeing him interview Prince William was surreal.
He said: “It was a surreal moment. I was laughing at how upright he was sitting.
