DAVIE PROVAN has hailed Ryan Christie’s performance against Midtyjlland and said it proves the Scotland star won’t be “short of clubs” when he eventually leaves Celtic.

Liel Abada tucked in Celtic’s only goal after a Christie shot was beaten out and he was so unlucky when his close-range finish hit the foot of a post.
Provan reckons the commitment he showed says a lot about him as a player – as the former Hoops hero made a distinction between his effort and that put in by wantaway French midfielder Olivier Ntcham.
Provan told Go Radio: “I think he [Christie] is a player who is intending to move.
“Clearly would have signed a new contract by now if he wanted to stay long term

“I think he sees his future in England. That was a good stage for him to perform on last night, the European arena.

“I don’t think he is the type who could go out on the pitch and give you anything less than 100%.

“But one thing about Christie – particularly last night – he put in a terrific shift. It is just a pity that he seems determined to leave Celtic.”
