BOURNEMOUTH have entered the race for Celtic star Ryan Christie.

The Scotland international is approaching the end of his contract at Parkhead – and could be set to depart the club in the next 24 hours.

The transfer window slams shut tomorrow night and the English Championship club are showing interest in the Hoops attacker.

Talks are ongoing and the Cherries are ready to sanction a significant offer.

English Premier League outfit Burnley are also in the mix for the 26-year-old.

Christie – who has been a top performer under new boss Ange Postecoglou – is contracted until January and is free to negotiate a pre-contract move elsewhere.

He’s featured nine times for the Hoops so far this season netting once and providing three assists.

Steve Clarke has included him in his Scotland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying triple-header.

The Dark Blues face Denmark away on Wednesday night before hosting Moldova at Hampden Park on Saturday.

A trip to Austria completes the September match schedule in a week that could prove vital to the hopes of reaching Qatar 2022.

Meanwhile, Celtic have confirmed their home clash with Ferencvaros will now take place on a TUESDAY with a 3.30pm kick-off.

The Hoops have been making all the arrangements for their upcoming Europa League group stage fixtures.

However, due to COP26 taking place in Glasgow in November, neither the Parkhead club or Rangers will be allowed to play at home on match day four.

As a result, both sides will now be forced to play at home on match day three.

In a further blow to Celtic, their clash with Ferencvaros cannot take place on the same day as Rangers’ home game on Thursday, October 21.

Consequently, Postecoglou’s men will now be forced to play on Tuesday, October 19, at an earlier time of 3.30pm due to Champions League fixtures kicking off later that evening.
