RYAN CHRISTIE has confessed that he hasn’t held any talks with Bournemouth over a new contract despite entering the final 12 months of his deal.
The former Celtic midfielder, 28, left the Hoops for the Cherries in 2021, agreeing a three-year deal with the then English Championship club.

The playmaker racked up 36 appearances last term – scoring twice – as the Cherries avoided the drop under Gary O’Neil.
But his future remains unclear with his contract expiring nextsummer.
Christie has featured in two of Bournemouth‘s pre-season friendlies this summer so far, playing 90 minutes against Hibs earlier this month.
However, despite entering the end of his deal, the Scotland international insists he is loving life down south and is only focused on impressing new boss Andoni Iraola.
Speaking to the Daily Echo: “No discussions yet, but I’m more than happy. Especially with the baby now, I love living in Bournemouth.
“It’s a great place to stay and my family is nice and settled as well.
“I’m not really thinking about that right now. Obviously, the pre-season is pretty tough, so you just need to get the head down and keep working hard.
“My main hope is to impress the new boss as much as I can.
“If that leads to talks about a new contract, so be it. I’ll be looking forward to that hopefully.”
Meanwhile, Southampton have emerged as the favourites to sign SunderlandstrikerRoss Stewart this summer.
The former Ross County and St Mirren forward was linked with Rangers in recent transfer windows but it’s the Saints who are reportedly leading the race for his signature.
